Coding Primary Site & Tumor Morphology
In the Coding Primary Site & Tumor Morphology module, you will have an understanding of the coding guidelines covered in ICD-O-3, and specifically how to use them in their coding activities.
In this module you will learn to:
- Describe the historical background of ICD-O.
- Briefly explain the differences between ICD-O and ICD-10.
- Describe the structure and format of ICD-O-3.
- Code the site and histology of a neoplasm based on the information from a pathology report, using ICD-O-3 as a reference tool.
