The following schould be noted:

  1. The date is recorded.
  2. Two different examination are reported:
    • Chest x-ray
    • Esophagram
  3. Each set of findings should be associated with the appropriate examination procedure.
  4. When x-raying the upper gastrointestinal tract, barium salts are swallowed to make the GI tract lining opaque.
  5. The senile fibrotic reaction of the lungs seems unrelated to cancer and need not be reported.
