Extent of Disease 2018 (EOD 2018)

The Extent of Disease 2018 module introduces the basic concepts regarding collecting cancer staging data and its importance in the field of cancer registration and surveillance. You will learn how to assign the correct EOD codes using the SEER*RSA where EOD is stored.

In this module you will learn how to

• Define the concepts of assigning EOD
• Distinguish how EOD is different than the Summary Staging system and other staging systems
• Know the main data items in the EOD data collection system
• Assign the correct EOD codes to cancer cases using the EOD 2018 manual and SEER*RSA
