Incidence and Mortality

Bladder cancer ranks as the sixth most prevalent cancer in the United States, with a higher incidence in men, where it is the fourth most common cancer. In women, it is the eleventh most common cancer. Annually, approximately 82,000 new cases of bladder cancer are diagnosed, with 62,000 occurring in men and 20,000 in women.

Of the urinary cancers (kidney parenchyma, kidney pelvis, ureter, and urethra), bladder is the most common cancer.
