Urologic Terms
WHO/ISUP Consensus
The World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Society of Urologic Pathologists (ISUP) published a consensus paper in 1998 about proper terminology for various types of bladder tumors. ICD-O-3 has added their preferred terminology.
Code | Description |

8121/1 | Transitional papilloma, inverted, NOS |

New Urologic Terms
There are many new synonyms for the papillary bladder tumors. Also important is that the code for PTCC, 8130/2 will be printed in ICD-O-3 and will not have to be created from the matrix principle. This should relieve some of the edit checks that result from non-invasive bladder tumor cases.
