Chemotherapy
- Chemotherapeutic agents have, to date, not been too successful as adjuvants to surgical or radiotherapeutic treatment. Partial responses have been noted with single agent methotrexate, adriamycin, 5-FU, cytoxan, mitomycin C and cisplatin.
- Intravesical chemotherapy has been shown to reduce recurrences
- Thio-TEPA
- Doxorubicin
- Mitomycin C
Combinations
- M-VAC (methotrexate, vinblastine, doxorubicin, cisplatin)
- MCV (methotrexate, cisplatin, vinblastine) (under clinical evaluation)
Hormones (not useful for treating bladder cancer)
Biological Response Modifiers
- BCG (bacillus Calmette-Guerin)
- Alpha interferon 2B (intravesical)
- Granulocytic colony stimulating factor (G-CSF)
