EOD Regional Nodes
Coding lymph nodes for lung is based on two things, the location of the involved lymph nodes and how many mediastinal stations are involved.
Lung regional nodes are grouped into several major categories
- Hilar (Stations 10R, 10L, 11R, 11L, 12R, 12L, 13R, 13L, 14R, 14L)
- Subcarinal nodes (Station 7)
- Mediastinal
- Within the mediastinal lymph nodes, the number of mediastinal stations is collected.
(Stations 2R, 2L, 3A, 3P, 4R, 4L, 5, 6, 8, 9)
- Within the mediastinal lymph nodes, the number of mediastinal stations is collected.
- Supraclavicular lymph nodes (Station 1)
- Bilateral or contralateral lymph nodes
See the Anatomy section for more information on the different lymph node stations of the lung.
