The final Hematopoietic neoplasm schema is HemeRetic, which includes

  • Leukemias (all)
  • Myelodysplastic neoplasms (syndrome)
  • Myeloproliferative neoplasms
  • Acute lymphoblastic leukemia
  • Mast cell neoplasms (sarcoma, systemic mastocytosis)
  • Myeloid sarcoma
  • Heavy chain diseases
  • Langerhans histologies

There is no official staging system for these histologies. The histologies in HemeRetic are grouped into two different groups.

Group 1

For EOD, the following histologies can be localized (100), systemic (700), or unknown (999). EOD Regional Nodes and EOD Mets are not applicable.

Summary Stage can be localized (1), systemic (7), or unknown (9)

  • 9740 Mast cell sarcoma
  • 9749 Erdheim-Chester disease (2021+ only)
  • 9751 Langerhans cell histiocytosis, disseminated
  • 9755 Histiocytic sarcoma
  • 9756 Langerhans cell sarcoma
  • 9757 Interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma
  • 9758 Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma
  • 9759 Fibroblastic reticular cell tumor
  • 9766 Lymphomatoid granulomatosis, Grade 3 (2021+ only)
  • 9930 Myeloid sarcoma
  • 9971 Polymorphic PTLD (2018-2020 only, nonreportable as of 2021)
    • Note: 9971 is /1 for 2021-2024, moved back to /3 for 1/1/2025+

Group 2

All the leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes, myeloproliferative neoplasms, acute lymphoblastic leukemias, and other bone marrow diseases (primary site C421)

  • Summary Stage: 7
